About

Hi, I'm David McElroy

I've spent 16+ years building data platforms and leading data & analytics teams — in financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, and higher education. I founded Dust Data and AI, LLC to bring that enterprise experience to businesses that need results without the enterprise price tag.

Recently I built an enterprise data platform in Microsoft Fabric from the ground up — onboarding 40+ users, integrating ERP, HRIS, and finance systems, building a medallion architecture with dbt, and delivering an AI data agent that lets people ask questions of company data right from Microsoft Copilot.

I hold an MBA in Business Analytics and teach applied analytics as an adjunct professor. Based in Eastern Iowa — working with clients anywhere.
